At Legacy Martial Arts, our name reflects the heritage we carry with pride. Our academy stands on a direct lineage of authentic martial arts passed down by true masters.

 

Head-Instructor Frank trained for over 20 years under Grandmaster Flavio Behring, one of the last living students of Helio Gracie, founder of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Frank is also one of the very few Europeans ever certified by the Brazilian Grand Masters Council, bringing pure, old-school BJJ focused on real efficiency and respect for tradition.

Frank works in collaboration with Patrick Bittan, 6th dan BJJ black belt and France's first BJJ black belt, who will visit LEGACY every year to share his knowledge.
Patrick is not only the pioneer of French Jiu-Jitsu, but also a direct student of Rickson Gracie, the undisputed champion and world reference in Old-school Jiu-Jitsu.

 

Frank is also a close student of Fred Mastro, founder of the Mastro Defence System (MDS), a method trusted by special forces worldwide. Personally chosen to develop its ground-fighting curriculum, he now represents MDS in the UAE, with Legacy as the only certified MDS academy in the country.

 

That’s why we say our teaching comes “straight from the source.” Every technique is taught in its original form—authentic, effective, and true to the spirit of martial arts.
